I assume that the SFLAN nodes are using the hostap driver, which should support WDS if its enabled. Unfortunately, few (if any?) WDS implementations interoperate. In theory if you had a linux box or some such as your AP you could use WDS instead of a second radio.

Was trying to do this with my home network. Wanted to attach my soup can to a Linksys WAP11 bridge and point it at SFLAN6. Then wirelessly connect my two home computers to the WAP11.

Unfortunatly, the WAP11 will only bridge between Linksys products. (As mentioned in the post above, most brands don't offer interoperability)

Anyone knows how to set this up? Don't want to have to build an antennae for each computer.
I assume its something similair to how the SFLAN points are set.

I used a WET11 pointed at SFLAN4 with a bidirectional amplifier and a cantenna. You connect this with a crossover cat5 to a WAP11. This will act as a repeater and provide wireless to the immediate area of the WAP11. i'm having a bit of trouble with up time, not sure if it's my rig or SFLAN4. see my most recent post titled SFLAN4.

Hi Firemanrob,

I'm trying to do the samething you did with the wet11 and wap11 but I'm having a little problem. Maybe I'm not configuring the devices propertly. could you tell me how to get the wet11 to comunicate with other device on the other end and how to get wap11 to repeat the signal? do I set the WAP11 to access point or repeater mode. what about the IP adress on the devices to the need to match and aldo the channels do they need to be the same or diffrent? I new at this and I would really appriciate your help. Thanks

This should be possible in theory. If you buy an Access Point and a Wireless Bridge, you can connect the two ethernet ports and achieve what you describe. (i.e. using a wet11 and a wap11.) I don't know if it can be done cheaper using some all in one unit.
